Surely Not Her Soul

Her body was her best part

surely not her soul

especially that she had none

none of us do

yet too many hold that we have one

I looked for mine

it must be where the Sun can’t shine

a personal black hole

I looked for hers

it must be in her smile

and the way her laugh fills my heart

Body will always be more important

at least to me

than any so-called soul

-----

Her body is still her best part

no matter her fictitious soul

which she feels in her head

where the brain manages

to keep it in existence

by playing games

with those who love to play

with make believe and what if

and all the other good things

as reality doesn’t give a shit

about anything

even itself

since it’s created by every brain

ready to play again

Deftly done! If every brain creates reality, why is it so bloody consistent for each one?
