Remember?

Do not forget!

It's September

trying not to fret.

🐊 🐊 🐊

No control

over growing notifications.

Lengthy list, I scroll

hindering comment, reply expectations.

🐊 🐊 🐊

Remember the alligators?

I wasn't joking.

Please, think about your creators.

It should be thought-provoking.

Subscriptions, notifications, and home

you will find creators' stories.

Yet, notifications, I roam,

with growing inventories

Notification alligators are eating

us up alive!

I'm begging and repeating!

Please help us survive!

That was fun and one I missed first time round

  • I just discovered this today and miss your clever wit and hope to read some new pieces from you soon xx

I agree with Dani, there is just too much stress sometimes to keep up with an online presence. It feels great to be a part of something and find friends yet it still takes its toll. Loved how well you brought these feelings out :)

    Great October sensations!

Digital living is intense! I don't manage it well and NEED a lot of space away from it, so very relatable content here Babs.

This was triggered. So many things to remember... I was considered a super user when working as I always had way more emails in my file than most. I always have too many emails now! Then when I get other writer's notifications...

  • Hahahahahahha I'm sure many of us would be able to relate to this. Loved your poem!

I'm old and resistant to change, but I'm trying. Great poem, Babs!

I selfishly want them to be about me, comments for my stories only, hahaha, that would be great. Good one Babs.

It does get a bit overwhelming doesn't it!

Notification alligators nice. Saw crocodiles in Lebanon when I was touring the ruins but no alligators.

Awesome, it reminded me of the Earth, Wind, and Fire song September.

  • Thankfully in Canada there are no alligators. Notifications are a whole other animal. 😳 I enjoyed your poem, great for the challenge.

Isn't that the truth, notification alligators. Well done, my friend.

That was awesome, Babs! It has everything, the flow the rhyme scheme and the message. Point taken! -Notification alligators are eating us up alive- That was my favorite line!

  • Michelle Liew Tsui-Linabout a year ago

Amen to that, Babs. A great one!
