How My Heart Feels Now

By Anna SleepsPublished 8 years ago 1 min read

My heart had been closed,

The doors welded shut for my own protection,

before you came and burnt the doors down.

You let yourself in,

I was alone for so long,

Became used to the echos that pulsed around my head,

The thought of you runs around my brain like my head it's a playground.

My heart beats faster as you suck in a grey breath,

I light the fire to distract myself from the beats of adrenalin,

The smell of our night soaks into my hair

and your face melts into my heart as I begin to see,

In your eyes I will always wear a crown.
