Supine lupine
Resting on his paws
Thin chin
‘Neath slavering jaws
Tightened, frightened
Rabbit twixt his claws
Quivers, shivers
Stares in horrific awe
Thinner dinner
Ought’a be a law
Still, will
Munch bunny before he thaws
Raucous shock us
Nearby crows caw
Shook, look
Feathery audience to meal bloody raw
Snort, retort
Growl through full maw
Mine dine
A’fore you ever saw
Vexed next
Should next you again caw
Chef! Here’s my Hasenpfeffer.
Mmmmmmmm….
