Two masks

Two faces

Made of porcelain and paint

One of joy

One of sadness.

One heart beating

Bleeding in unison

With the cries of an aching soul.

Covered in blemishes

And stories of tragedy

She grabs the sad mask

Determined to sink into the shadowy depths of sorrow

For there, is her comfort and home.

Were she to grab the mask of joy

Well, that simply wouldn't do

For that is mapped with uncharted land.

She would have to turn that frown upside-down

And all the new muscles she would be forced to use,

No, sad is where she is happy

Sad is where she stays.

Thank you for all your support, it means the world to me!

Remember, You're not alone!
