If my French teacher, Madam M, was around, she would sing Happy Birthday in French and give you a kiss on a cheek, one kiss for every year of your age. I saw the notifications on Facebook that it was your birthday today, and because you’ve done a lot for the Vocal community and offer your love and soul in everything you do for the website, I feel you deserve a special mention!

Judey has had a lot of well deserved top-stories. I think all her posts are excellent, but there are a few ones that will always stand out for me. I love her tribrute to Tom Bradbury, and it’s wonderful that his spirit is still going strong through Vocal. When the Vocal community grieved for our loss, Judey was the mother hen that comforted us all.

I love this one. It really shows the powers of being a writer. Even when you feel bummed out that no one is there to support you when you need it, other authors will pick you up and bring you back on your feet.

I love the 50 word reviews because it’s a real challenge to summarise thousands of works into a few simple paragraphs. I think this one captures the book perfectly and gives me vivid memories of me reading it at home, unable to sleep after the ending.
