Half a Soul

forever gone.

I am a vessel, cracked and torn,

A soul divided, lost and forlorn.

A half-moon hanging in the sky,

A lonely star that's doomed to die.

I once was whole, a shining light,

A beacon burning, pure and bright.

But now I'm fractured, piece by piece,

A shattered mirror, lacking peace.

I wander through the world alone,

A ghost among the living, unknown.

My heart is heavy, filled with pain,

A constant ache, a ceaseless strain.

I yearn for wholeness, to be one,

To find my missing piece, my missing sun.

But in this darkness, I am lost,

A solitary soul, counting cost.

I search for answers, night and day,

But they elude me, slip away.

A puzzle with a missing part,

A broken heart, a shattered art.

Perhaps one day, I'll find my peace,

And all this pain will finally cease.

Until then, I'll wander on,

A half a soul, forever gone.
