Some came with some
I came with none
Played in it to stimulate growth
Plaits with bowrrets
First perm at five
Twist in the front was a style
Then came the braids
Next was the puff
Color and twist outs
Back to the puff
Yell at for not looking right
Style it differently
“You need to do something with it”
The bashful hate towards my hair for years
Led to a decision
Locs it is

Creatively entertaining 🤩. I’ve whinged about my thick spikey hair for decades until I thought I might need chemotherapy & could lose it all. Didn’t happen, but it made me more grateful.😅
Captivating!!!
Lol, I still do the puff. Loved your poem!
