Haikus From the Garden

A Warm Spring Day

By Anna GracePublished 8 years ago 1 min read

1. Scorching rays burn skin

The air feels thick like syrup

Chasing sweet relief

2. Wings soar through the sky

Free to fly, they never lie

Swish, swish, flap and fly

3. Weeds are just flowers

Sprouted in the wrong places

Beauty forgotten

4. Dragons and Castles

Race cars, rocket ships, and planes

All seen in the clouds

5. Always under foot

Soft and cool on a hot day

A carpet of grass

6. Sweet smells through the air

Colorful flowers entice

All passing creatures

7. Soil caking hands

Overturned earth is waiting

To nourish new life

8. Ants marching along

To sting or save it’s unknown

Please do not sting me

Anna Grace

I write random poetry about emotions and stuff cause I can't express them. I also have a horrible dark sense of humor. Have Fun!
