It is getting to the point where I am running out of email addresses to change things.
What Is Causing The Hacking
Is it desperation, is it that people and countries that are desperate for money?

However, I cannot afford to have someone wipe out my bank account. These are coming from a foreign country other than my own.
Trying to Combat The Problem
1. The first time I got hacked and that was recently, is when I tried to pay for icloud storage because they sent me an email. I ended up having to go to the bank and get straightened out the pending charges that were on my bank account. Luckily the bank I use is kick ass as far as fraud is concerned.
I had to cancel my debit card and have another one issued. Also, I had to tell the bank not to honor the attempted charges and that included the icloud.
I cold not in good conscience pay for the icloud because it was the cause of the hack.
2. Amazon- This is the most favorite thing for them to hack. I have to learn to sign out each time. This is the second time I have had to change my information on my Amazon account.
I was just hacked again and I got an OTP number that had symbols as the written language instead of English.
I think I will have to learn to back up to a kinder, gentler time.

CASH IS KING!!!!!!!!
Going Back To A Kinder Gentler Time
Proving to everyone that the digital age has its problems too. It might be saving money for people with automation and digital footprints, but it also leaves us vulnerable. Hacking is at an all time high.
Please leave in comments your opinion or instances where you have been hacked.

I got pretty good at spotting scammers. But a few weeks back I was dealing with a customer service rep at CitiBank who told me I needed to call a different number. That number ended up being to a scammer, resulting in the need to cancel my card & get a new one. (Since I report the incident to Citi, I'm also assuming that employee ended up on the unemployment line with possible criminal charges looming over their heads.)
We have the worst luck, don't we. Well done article. If you were hacked so was I. ---
Dang, I'm so sorry you've had to put up this. I don't recall ever being hacked myself, but I know of others who have. Also, I prefer using cash for most things. It's just easier, aha.
I never ever pay by the email if anything come I go to say Amazon log in on line always log in ever ever use a link. Nice see you back was wondering where you had gone 💙
Very well said. Digital age has its own share of problems along with many benefits too. Nice read @Susan Payton
