slim sapphire sentries,

I love delphiniums. As do the slugs.

You always find the souls in each of God's plants. Love that!

I've never noticed the eyes before. Once prone, those eyes are hard to miss! Cool idea for a poem.

  • Very sweep poem & lovely photo. Liked ‘slim sapphire sentries, garden guards…’ & the alliteration 👍🏼.

  • Oooo, this was soooo beautifully painted and I especially loved your alliteration 😍😍😍

The imagery of the "slim sapphire sentries" transformed into "fallen fellows" evokes a sense of both fragility and strength. The personification of the delphiniums as "garden guards" adds a touch of whimsy and reminds us of the intricate connection between humans and the natural world. The juxtaposition of the once upright flowers with their "peering pearl eyes now prone" creates a poignant visual of their vulnerability. It's a reminder to cherish and appreciate the transient beauty that surrounds us. Many thanks!
