Grey sky.

Grey gate.

Grey stone.

Grey slate.

Most people think grey is colourless and plain,

Reminds them of mornings stuck in the rain.

But I see grey as a wonder and gift,

A colour so perfect, my mood it lifts.

Grey is the colour of my warm fleece throw.

Grey is the colour of home that I know.

Grey is the colour of great winter skies.

Grey is the colour of his loving eyes.

Grey is the colour of my warm woolly hat.

Grey is the colour of a welcome doormat.

Grey is the colour of my favourite cat’s fur.

Grey is the colour of tungsten stone pure.

Grey is the colour of white and black mixed.

Grey is the colour of strong walls once fixed.

Grey is the colour of billowing clouds.

Grey is the colour of London town crowds.

Grey is the colour of me getting dressed.

Grey is the colour that I love best.
