When I flourished,
I became green,
And found love,
And grew pride,
Pride like a fraction of the rainbow,
Proud of me!
Green,
Associated with nature.
I'm my best self when around it,
Where I learned to be alone,
I climbed trees of green,
And swam in shades of it,
I walked on green mountains,
to get here,
the colour that told me go,
The first signals of growth.
What's the opposite of green?
Purple? Orange? Yellow?
What compliments me?
Could it be red or blue?
It may be everything that I am not.
The first love that gave me pride.
A part of me,
A different colour in the rainbow.
