Oily black and midnight eyes

It's stack on stack right to the skies

The only lack is lack itself

Another book yet crowds the shelf

x

Another look around the mine

Each nook and cranny will be checked

He took his time with this fault line

His crooked rhyme collects respect

x

From masses miming with the rest

His greatest crime's his endless quest

His endless climb, his non-stop grind

His blinding thirst, his frame of mind

x

The wanting just for wanting's sake

Himself he cursed when he resigned

Himself to play the part of snake

He is well versed in humankind

x

His words are coins he spends on you

You're not the first not to see through

The screen of smoke that does ensue

It is bespoke, his point of view

x

Something to sell to poorer souls

Who cannot comprehend his goals

Who aren't equipped to spot the holes

He will not stop 'till he controls

x

Every resource, every nation

To own them all, this is his station

Zero recourse to his dictation

His wealth will be the world's foundation

x

His health will be their resurrection

The antidote to disconnection

He must have the complete collection

There will not be a missing section

x

His rising pyramid of gold

Comprising of the souls he sold

The lies he told to keep his hoard

They wait for him, as up they're stored

x

An em'rald eye, a silver sword

The treasures of his kingdom call

To those who simply can't afford

To ride the gilded waterfall

x

They side with him for there's no way

To circumvent or stop his sway

To hide is to await the day

His hunger marks you as his prey

x

He'll take you for all that you've got

Your grave as well, he's lost the plot

Forsaken souls begin to rot

He'd take it back, but he cannot

x

The dollar bill, once green's now grey

What does his heavy heart now weigh

And for how far he's gone astray

How much will he now have to pay

x

I bet his stomach's tied in knots

The flames of hell burn awf'lly hot

He knows how well he's earnt his spot

Maybe he'll turn to gold - or not!

x
