Graffiti wall

Unfinished business

By Susannah Peareth-KinstonPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Today I walked past the graffiti wall

You know the one that’s by the train and all

Do you remember that probably undiagnosed ADHD bartender that made us laugh a ton?

Which was probably mean but takes one to know one

See, isn’t that random the stuff that I say?

My brain just works like that okay?

But yet I can’t quite perfect a sentence

For you to stop the pretence

How do I get it right?

I promise I won’t start a fight

Just a glass of wine or a cup of tea

Maybe with that klutzy bartender

It doesn’t have to be a bender

I just want to wish you well my friend

And I hope you do too instead

Of resenting or despising me

Or me being terrifying

Friendship

About the Creator

Susannah Peareth-Kinston

I am a mother of two boys, a librarian and a poet.

I hope to make some poetry connections here and maybe even have it as a side hustle. I do it for the cathartic release I get from writing it.

I write about love, friendship and ADHD.
