Slowly, the sweltering sun sets in the West.

Imagination replaces words

Lacking vocabulary,

erasing, and eradicating the polluted noise,

nothing moves and

causes calming peace, as

evening stillness settles.

Well-wrought and well-deserved top story! Whether viewed from a mountaintop or a front porch, a silent appreciation of dusk is an everyday miracle.

  • Excellent acrostic for Silence! Well deserved Top Story too. I especially like: "Slowly, the sweltering sun sets in the West."

Loved reading this Babs. The end of the day contrasting with the beginning of quiet and peace is such a nice fit. “ erasing, and eradicating the polluted noise,”- great line😊
