Only here a little while,
Each a light one time lit,
Never count the days we’re given,
More truly than we think,
But there are others it is true,
With fewer than I or you,
Never complaining,
Yet joy always bringing,
Perhaps if we,
Could count all of these,
We’d thankful be,
For the gold in the green.

Such a nice title. It rolls off the tongue, effortlessly. Did you take the photo? It looks lovely. I love how you used the flower. To tell a tale of the days we are given. Why we should count the joys. And how this would guide us to be thankful for the gold in the green. Gosh I just love that line so much. The gold in the green. It's very memorable 🤗❤️🖤
This was so beautiful and positive. It's always nice to be grateful for the little things in our life. Loved your poem!
This is so uplifting and true. I love the feeling it leaves after it is read.
I second Komal! Small joys are the soft place to land in between the hard things
This one has a gentle and reflective glow! A reminder to notice what glimmers while we can. ✨
This reminds me of the shortness of life and that we are just but a mist in the grand scheme of our years.
A beautiful poem and photo, Jamye! We do need to stop and appreciate life around us more.
