When I Saw You

Love poem

By Jamye SharpPublished 4 months ago 1 min read

Don’t blame me for my heart,

Betrayed by yearnings deep,

All the sands of time cannot erase,

That first sight of your face,

Laughter and sweet memories,

Dance together in my thoughts,

Any little moment with you,

Cherished bliss from the start,

Your bratty ways,

The witty phrase,

The smiles you play upon my face,

In a crowd I’m alone with you,

Bright sunny days we may enjoy,

Never an hour too long,

Still I’ll never forget the first,

The moment when I saw you.

Your works radiate so much sensitivity. You describe love like fresh, running water. One brushstroke becomes a thousand lines of color. When I like something, I become poetic. I’m glad to know your creations.
