Goddess by Benevolence

dispair in the gardens

By DarwinPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

I glance over my eye

Into the sunken night

That houses my name

Swelling darkness squeezes my heart

Oozing from your fingertips

Clumps of lies drip red

Out of your palm

Right onto my lashes

All I see is what once was

And what’s isn’t

Knuckles collide

with the back

Of my thoughts

shattering what’s left

Of my ego

Flip off the light switch

And watch cluelessly

As energy evaporates

To Einstien’s bafflement

A warm, knowing smile

You sip on my soul

The wink breaks me

As if you’ve torn apart my wings

Right before the benevolent god

Who slaved over

My divine creation

Manifest fury

And the dreams glossing over your eyes

Movie moments

Overly ideal

Unable to sleep unnoticed

By the creeping time

Endless yet ending

surreal poetry
