God Walked Beside the Blind Man

Knock and his door will open. Ask and the Lord Will Help

God Walked Beside the Blind Man

He lived in silent shadows,

no sunrise touched his eyes.

His nights were long and endless,

his days were thin with cries.

But God could hear his heartbeat,

and every tear he prayed.

God walked beside the blind man,

and took his sorrows away.

He felt the world grow distant,

as footsteps passed him by.

He held his pain in secret,

and tried his best to try.

But when the dark grew heavy,

his soul began to sway.

God walked beside the blind man,

and took his sorrows away.

He learned of quiet mercy,

and how a spirit grows.

He found a deeper vision,

that only Heaven knows.

His fears became a memory,

his heart no more astray.

God walked beside the blind man,

and took his sorrows away.

Now peace lives in his footsteps,

no matter where they lead.

He walks in calm assurance,

with love in every deed.

For faith became his eyesight,

and hope became his way.

God walked beside the blind man,

and took his sorrows away.
