Goat Herding

A haiku, on peaceful life

"Bucolic village morning

Slow, simple, peaceful—

joy in goat flock herding."

Note: That was a scene from my mother's maternal village in India.

I loved the village. It was so peaceful. In the morning, I saw a goat flock being led to the pasture near the woods. Imagine sitting there under the clouds, smelling the botanical aroma of mahua trees, and watching these gentle creatures graze.

There no work-related stress. Even if it’s materially-poor, it's so fulfilling. What do you say?
