I choose to express my love
Using a pen made of
Glass I had blown
In the fires you stoked
Deep within my heart
The stanzas originating
There from are deep and endless
The cavern of words
A bottomless shaft
I draw gratitude up
In a bucket of crystallized
Prismatic sand to
Reflect upon your luminous visage
In the radiant waters
An artistβs flawless representation
Of humanity, of gentility, of every
Expression made in love
Each time I am moved by a
Reminder of your spark
I'm singed by your
Undimmable light
Waiting with bated breath
As if at any moment you might
Rise up from the fire's might
Calling upon your ethereal name
Whether morning noon or restless night
I am granted at least a morsel of
Your grace, taking that crumb
Fallen from the table of my betters
Crawling under the cloth
I make a meal of such a
Delicious mouthful
Using the energy to fuel my work and
Give me sweet respite
