Come on over,
I'll boil the kettle;
It only takes two minutes to make
A cup of tea.
Sit with me as we drink,
We'll laugh,
cry,
And, smile for just one hour.
We won't talk about the past,
We don't live there any more;
We will talk about you,
The man or woman next door,
Who you really like.
We'll laugh into our tea cups,
And we will watch the day slip by,
Washing all our troubles out to sea.
It might not be for long,
But we don't need a lot of time;
So, come on over!
Give me one hour,
Time can be precious;
Just one hour is all I need,
To make you smile.
Remember; Mental Health is important.
Check in on yourself, your family, and your friends today.
One hour of your time can make a big difference.

This is quietly so very powerful, in its message. Love the sentiment too...as an avid tea drinker lol. Well done on such a sweet but impactful piece, Carol.
Very comforting.
I feel like this often, especially living in a rural village. Nothing feels better than gabbing away with a friend. Sweet poem!
