Settled to a life of her own with two cats
She was just fine and content
Then it was ever so subtly suggested to her
To get a mobile phone
She thought to herself
No more family, friends scattered throughout
Who would she call and why?
Then she started on surveys and discovered
Many sites identified her
By sending codes to mobile phones
Her budget was tight
Making it month to month
She didn’t really want to take on a phone subscription
But there it was and it was recommended
So just a plain mobile phone she bought
Took on the subscription
Only to discover that at times what she cashed out
Covered the mobile phone
But didn’t add enough to get her what she wanted online
Here she was in her sunset years
No one to call but a mobile phone
Just for getting rewards SIGH
She often thought if some expert
Created a mobile phone so she could call the world beyond
Where she longed to talk to her soul mate and loved ones
That would be worth her effort
Prominently on her computer desk, the mobile sat
Like the other bric and brac upon surrounding shelves
When she left her safe abode
The phone stayed home
It was at these times it rang
Some scammers calling just for fun
When she returned home to her two cats
The thought came to her mind
If she let her cats out
If cats knew how to use mobile phones
If their meows could be translated into English –
Would they phone home?

LOL! If only cats and dogs could talk! The things they would say over the phone! Cute one, Rasma!
Lol, I don't think cats would call home. But that made me think. My cat passed away 3 years ago. I wish there was a phone where I could talk to him
