Man may have discovered fire
but women learned to play with it
Making the flames go higher
just close enough to take a hit
*
Soft, subtle, complex lines
playing the game, the goal - outwit
Keeping one thing in mind
the loser always pays for it
*
Man may have made the rules
but women have learned to bend with them
Instead of being schooled
they get lovely flowers on long green stems
*
In a game of win or lose
both sides have sadly been condemned
Kept separated as two
not anything that either dreamt
*
Everything's fair in love and war
until you're on the other end
We need to behave with savoir faire
or be content just being friends

Great poem! I love the first stanza!
Good work in describing how to survive. It is all about survival in living.
Bring on the Pugs; it's a pug-of-war!
