And Its Source Of Illumination

Evacuating the clutter that obscures the wholeness of my beauty
Consuming this ravenous inclination leading me into abandon
Longing for the moment when you lovingly see through me
Imagining that I could escape my inevitable assassin
Passion, like a weapon, I surrender to the notion
Simply underestimated the power of its grasp
Eventually I pause and observe the power of eclipsing. Shielded by another, in the shadows of my mask

So magnificently beautiful! Loved your poem!
This is so good, I especially love the last line. Well done.
Your poem beautifully captures the struggle and beauty of self-discovery, vulnerability, and acceptance! Well done!!!!
Also remembering love is not perfect all the time.
Remember, red carpet, pearls and sapphire; our yacht is yours to keep. I get sea sick anyway. To the top! This is perfectly perfect.
There have been times when I had wished for someone to see me as I am and yet, there are other times, when I only want to put on that mask and allow other to see only what I want them to see. Very profound poem. I love it.
