The war isn't won.

Can you see it all,
The colors of mankind
The truth is hidden there,
The truth of you and I
-
Ignore his pleading, divert your eyes,
Pretend you can’t see color, continue to stand by
-
Can you see it all,
Do you fear he will die
I’ll never forget,
Mama is what he cried
-
They said it was awful,
That things needed to change,
But nothing is different,
They’ve stopped saying his name
-
Can you see it all,
That the war isn’t won,
Mothers are still burying their daughters and sons
-
We must do better; both you and I
It starts with seeing colors
It’s time to open our eyes
