Game over

Is wishing me the best the best you can do?

By Mikayla RosePublished 8 months ago 1 min read

Aries rising

Mean girl

Not surprising

Daddy issues

Loves those pretty blonde views

She’ll turn you quick into a memory

Make empty vows about “you and me”

One last peck, then wish you all the best

I wish you all the best

*

Rusty old rings

She smokes those big Belmont kings

Big eyes, small meals

Never explain how it feels

She’ll film you in Sepia, 9mm

Bet you almost forgot that she’s a cheater

One last peck, then wish you all the best

I wish you all the best

*

Tattoos, cold coffee

Amateur poetry

“I love your best friend”

It’s all good, baby

Redbone, Disclosure

5 days and it’s over

Jack Daniel’s in her old friend’s bathroom

Enemies, now friends

Will it ever end?

Share a cigarette, but don’t speak of this

Time to forget again

This didn’t happen

But hey,

I wish you all the best

The inspiration: Keep Driving by Harry Styles

If you’re familiar with this song and can recall the melody, you may notice this piece has the same structure and rhythm to it! It’s been stuck in my head for days so I decided to write my own little version, in keeping with Harry’s melodic structure and form. Same beat, same tempo, just my take on some lyrics! Hope you enjoy!! :)
