Fruit of a Different Kind

Worlds apart yet you can taste it here

By Toby HewardPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

A gorgeous fruit stands above all the rest,

With many a flavor that put many to the test.

It comes in every color ever imaginable,

Yet one could say it is forever untouchable.

This fruit grows in a world far beyond ours,

An eternity away that would require endless hours.

Many a person have dreamed of its taste,

Leaving any flavor out would be such a waste.

Upon a seconds passing the flavor begins to turn,

Causing ones taste buds to forever longingly yearn.

First comes the sweet nectar of mango,

Follow by a sour kiwi set to fervently tango.

Then comes the deep flavor of ripening grapes,

Leaving ones mouths watering like rainy landscapes.

Another seconds passing brings the rich tartness of strawberries,

Followed by the ever growing sweetness of bundles of rainier cherries.

Further down the road comes the tangy flavor of clementines,

Quickly moving on to supple blueberries as we move down the lines.

The flavors change on and on for eons to come,

But one thing is certain; we all will wish for more and then some.
