From the sidelines....
I watch you...brown hair that looks like everybody else's...
maybe a little straighter and deader at the ends....
same eyes, nose and mouth
so the same... does anyone realize you so aren't?
Does anyone know that these typical blue eyes saw the most untypical things... those typical arms did the most untypical things
No...
No one does... no one hears silent cries... no sees invisible tears
no one empathizes invisible pain... oh so painful invisible pain.
Trapped in a personal world of of torn skies, coats that can't warm and people that can't understand
A world that lives in a larger world of clueless skies, fuzzy coats and people thinking they understand you...
From the sidelines...
I wonder if your eyes even know how to cry...
does a mosaic heart crack?
can invisible chains ever be broken...
can invisible pain ever be healed....?

I see this as the narrator trying to address the oain of the human condition. Poignant!
This one leaves me theorizing (guessing?) as to who it's written for. A very poignant poem!
