ADHD BRAIN CONVERSATION
Unfiltered Challenge

Don't touch that!
Oops... already did.
Put it back! Put it back!
sure.... in another... hey there's two!
let's see... which one is...
"Don't touch!"
"okay. okay!"
You should leave. You're a hungry child in a candy store in any store.
You should control yourself. Your two hands are like an octopus's eight.
You should concentrate. Your one brain thinks as fast as ten combined.
Wow. Geeeeee. What similes.
You should write them down.
You can become a writer and then you can publish a book and then you can become famous and then you can make a lot of money and...
"Excuse me. The store's closing in two minutes."
"Sure."
Now go straight home. You know Mom gets angry when you come home late. Don't stop too watch the people eat through the store window. Don't follow the ambulance even though you like the blue and red lights. Don't think about the cracks on the sidewalk and land up on the other side of town. Go straight -
"I'm sorry but the store's-
"Ooops. Sorry."
I like that thing that jingles when I open that door. I like it a lot. It's nice. Just walk. Don't look up. Don't look down. Just get home. You don't want Mom to get angry. She thinks you're just a naughty girl that has no self control. Whatever that means. And you don't want her to think that. Just walk...
"Oops sorry."
"You should be looking where you're going, kid!"
"Sorry."
Continue walking. You can't get distracted. Concentrate. Concentrate.
Look!
NO!
There's sirens! And tooons of people...
NO! CONCENTRATE. YOU NEED TO GO HOME!!
ok. ok. You don't need to shout out me.
"Hi Mom!"
"Don't slam the door like that!"
"Hello. What's this?"
"Ey, Ey, don't touch! You didn't wash your hands.
"I'm not late today!"
"You shouldn't be late any day. Don't touch!"
Okay. Okay. I'm trying. There's just too many don'ts. I can't... does anyones brain ever talk to them so much or just mine?

That's exactly what it's like... FINALLY! Someone who gets it... And yes, my brain talks to me constantly too, sometimes the monologue is helpful, and sometimes it's not.
A beautiful portayal! People should be much more aware of children's challenges with ADHD! Especially in a classroom.
Such a beautiful perspective. Great entry
