Freezing in summer

shrug the blankets

By Karun Published about a year ago 1 min read

Cosy in the bed

coughing in my head

freezing in summer

chilling in winter

calm down before you warm up

cold eyes warm heart

bright smile dark mind

right eyes watching the leftover sky

oh my freezing summer

I'm glad today I have midnight supper

No drinks no liquor

never-smoked it,

just for the style I got the lighter

just the fire that flickers

can send away the breeze that shivers

answering half asleep

in the dine with a mild coffee

Before I knew I was asleep

I look at the freezing summer's moon

dwelling like silver

a fresh sky that goes beyond, forever

shut down the curtains

shrug the blankets

they call it summer

but I taste the freeze in every flower

as though everything is awestruck, frozen

for once even the buzzing bee

wants to sleep quite

serene dreams, what a sight!

wondering about the retreat of the summer's delight
