Freedom, My Freedom

Freedom encompasses more than escaping our unfortunate circumstances.

Freedom is shaking the shackled chains of doubt, insecurity that attains our minds.

Freedom is freeing ourselves from the mental cage that taunts;

perplexes and distorts our perspectives, belittling our faith.

FREEDOM, My mind's freedom.

instead of romanticizing the idea of who you were or who you are expected to be.

Freedom is appreciating and accepting the masterpiece reflected in the mirror.

It is graciously treating your body as a temple to be loved instead of something that needs to be fixed.

with the abundance of hope and the innocence of a teen.

It is the pursuit of happiness not governed by comfort, nor limited by fear.

It is celebrating and having pride in your authenticity,

recognizing that your individuality is the reason you are here.
