Fragility

Beauty In The Unknown

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

The mystery is beautiful in itself (C. Rommial Butler)

*

The mystery is beautiful

the give and take of life

The cycle irrefutable

lines drawn, cut with a knife

Accrued to give it all away

lessons learned are to be taught

A pebble of life's highway

victories shared in battles fought

Why we're here and what we leave

makes the world a better place

Life is celebrated and then grieved

sorrow sprinkled with a little grace

We plant in spring, well rooted

enjoy the harvest in the fall

And when our life's concluded

the yields enjoyed by all

Take peace in the unrooting

change begins and ends with you

In life's doing and undoing

moving on deepens the roots
