Four Step Poetic Verse Of The Disappearing Imaginary Companion
As Submitted To The Instructions For Disappearing Challenge

Step One
It’s All For Fun
Haunting plans
Deceptive scams
Continuing tradition
Eternal mission
Teasing guests
Putting visitors to a test
Depot bus parks
Outside lively dogs bark
It's time to depart
A Spirit with heart
Ready to do her part
The well-endowed dame
Exclaims
‘Once I had a fortune and fame’
Step Two
Get To Know You
Going into action
Acceptable Attraction
Ready for the haunting game
Not revealing her name
Mountain, she ascends
Around the bend
Guy wearing a suit
Looks kinda cute
She pulls out a flute
Captures his attention with a toot
Step Three
Do you really want me?
Taking it to a new level
Teasing little devil
They get to talking
She finds one, no longer stalking
During dinner
Decides he’s the winner
Enjoying an intimate dance
He is very gentlemanly, never makes an advance
Despite the two being in a loving trance
At the end of the night
They embrace very tight
Step Four
Leave em bitter and poor
Not able to score
Time to say goodbye
And enjoy his tearful cry
Ping, she needs to go
And take a seat, enjoy the dramatic show
Filled with tears and heartache
Since she will be gone when he awakes
No longer being able to be seen
Just an imaginary dream
Then it concludes
Ghostly and rude
Relishing in life’s pains
Hearing them explain
‘Something went wrong
After they played our song
Relationship death was there
And it was exhilarating affair
Truth be told and dared
But I will go on
Survive this emotional bomb
Stronger and wiser
Prepared for the next disguiser
Who may rake me over the coals
Stealing my soul’
Somewhere in the heavens
Message heard at seven eleven
Big gulp almost done
She smiles and confesses, “I did have fun’
Then disappearing into the air
She goes back to work, guys fear
