Forbidden Love

Poem: Just an inspired thought on love and how we are bound to its boundaries or break them. The choice is ours.

What would I do for a dance with you?

I’d bounce to the rhythm of the drums,

Spin until you’re coming undone

Focus my eyes on your disguise

Listen for the purring lullaby

For your voice to drop to that husky tone

Your breath then tickles my ear

My nose reaching to smell your cologne

To feel your lips trail my neck

Placing your hands on my hips,

Oh yes, steady me...

Oh what I would give

To tease your mind,

Stained like a tattoo,

Oh what I would give to have that dance with you,

Just one time…

But I doubt you'd dance,

And I doubt your mind is as broken as mine,

So, I'll whisper the truth to myself

I love you,

Even if it's forbidden in this lifetime
