A metallic taste stains my lips

The smell of roses wafting around the air

My eyes heavy,

My body succumbs to the algidity

My thoughts play like a movie, in introspection

I can no longer hide behind my lies

I wanted more than you could have ever dreamed

I wanted to live in a world of magic,

Of ingenuity

My dreams got the better of me

Obsessed with a fantasy,

I admit it myself, I have lost my mind

Too caught up in mystic dreams, distant from reality

I was too caught up I was insane,

Not enough truth directed to my brain

Caught up in wanting there to be truth behind a lie

Caught up in living but from the inside

This line hits home for me. "Caught up in wanting there to be truth behind a lie."
