A Love Villanelle For My Muse
Introduction
Today I was talking with my Muse and she asked if I knew the phrase
"Shoot for the moon and if you miss you at least land among the stars"
At first, I misunderstood, but then realised I did know it and it also made me think of a wonderful album that is in my collection by Kevin Ayers (I use quite a lot of his songs in my poems and stories).
I have included the opening song from the album "May I" to accompany this villanelle. I love the line:
"I'd like the company of your smile"
