Floating adrift...

A weird poem

Have you ever forgotten where you were?

Or what you were doing?

Has the sound that surrounds you slowed down and swirled? Swirling similarly to your hair when the window is rolled down,

but slower.

Slow enough for it to drag across your face.

It’ll leave a tingle on your skin.

These separate sounds synchronize for many seconds. The symphony that has started is simply the best.

The sun shines on the crown of your head.

Warming your ears and clawing at your face.

It’s almost time to go.

Let's go back to the real world.

Wandering inside simply adrift,

barely following behind.

Moving somehow,

step by step,

gracefully gliding along the floor.
