Fire

Clawing to the beginning of fallen lives,

A breath.

Revived.

Bitterness tastes of a lover’s bride,

She is caged.

Breathing.

Echoing promises,

Slamming words into mantras,

One day.

One more time.

Tomorrow whispers a peaceful mind,

Tears frozen.

The heart is alive.

Please, may she sing for me,

Just one more night,

Her voice vibrates.

Whispering silence.

Lips quirking into a divinity of luminosity,

Moonlight kisses.

Her kiss of promises.

I sink into the glow of falling embers,

Every lantern burns.

Every shadow grows.

Love lulls me into dreamless wonder,

Kisses of fire.

Poetry written underwater.

Poetry is my first love, and writing words onto paper is my therapy. Maybe my submissions will make you feel something, too.

If you find something in my words, then it is my pleasure.
