Fighting Neighbours

War started when you messed with us

Fighting Neighbours

You moan at us for the banging doors,

we however say nowt about your barking dog.

You reported our television sound too high,

you play loud music, keep us up all night.

Your little vendetta has to cease,

it’s you and your family breaking the peace.

You act the saint in broad daylight,

then start your noise again by night.

We bite our tongues, we let things slide,

Oh there’s a limit and we’ve stepped aside.

So keep your stares, your petty games,

we’re done with whispers, done with names.

You’ve stirred the pot one time too many,

and now you’ll find we’re not that friendly.

By the way, we in return reported you

for selling drugs to God knows who.

So watch your back when selling your smack…

Maybe not, you will get the crack.

Comprehend-a, my friend?

You mess with me, You will suffer my wrath.

The trouble is, you can never pick your neighbors. I had a neighbor who put a wind chime in a tree right outside our bedroom. When I asked him if he could move it because it kept us up at night, he put three more in the tree!
