Peoples’ feelings overwhelm me.
I do not understand them.
How complex and nuanced they are.
I pretend to understand and sometimes be sympathetic.
Because I care for them.
But the truth is I can’t relate.
And carry a possibility I never will.

I know what you mean, feelings can be so complicated!
Gosh, how relatable is this?! I always want to understand peoples feelings, but I never quite grasp them in their entirety (maybe from lack of experience, idk). And then there's own feelings... just burn them away. Very nicely written and constructed poem, Amethyst. Though small, it has so much punch!
