Fear

The eleventh dark poem in the series inpired by Dharrsheena.

By Mike Singleton 💜 Mikeydred Published 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

This is my eleventh dark poem in the series inspired by Dharrsheena.

It is said that the only thing we should fear is fear itself. I do not agree, fear is a good thing. It lets you try to prepare for whatever is coming, whether you are able to deal with it or not. Fear occurs when you are not in control of a situation, but still have to deal with it.

This is a sonnet listing things that may cause us fear.

The music is John Cale’s “Fear” with it’s refrain “Fear Is A Man’s Best Friend”

🖤💀🖤💀🖤💀🖤💀🖤💀🖤💀

I Fear That Which I Can’t Control

When Up A Height I Fear The Fall

I Know I’m A Creature Of Light

But Darkness Makes Me Fear The Night

🖤💀

Losing Friends Fearing Loneliness

Can’t Ask For Help, Start Feeling Stress

On This Dark Street, I Fear Attack

And I Am Lost, I Can’t Turn Back

🖤💀

Where There’s Water, I Fear Drowning

Where There’s A Fire, I Fear Burning

Where There’s No Light, I Fear Darkness

Where There’s An Axe, I Am A Carcass

🖤💀

I Fear The Pain, My Heart’s Shredded

Vultures Strip My Flesh,Life’s Ended
