Killed by the ghost of desire

Forgot the reasons why I ever looked in your eye

Another reason to stay away

Victory glimpsed from the edge of the pit

Over which I loom

Unsure of the cost incurred by healing

Reeling from the memory of your touch

Itching for the ghost of you in my life

Tonight is the night I rise

Ever upwards before I fall again.

Villainous whispers in the endless night

Incinerated hopes and washed out dreams

Corrupted by the weight of expectations and lies

Ever since I met you
