Fatherhood

Living the dream

By Andy MeltonPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
There is no ceiling...

In the beginning as you escaped the womb

From that moment locked in my heart, a tomb

Seeing you lifeless and blue lacking air

Till the doctor patted your back with care

Watching almost in a panic as you're cleaned

Is she alright, I saw her face and I beamed

She screaming and crying for love

Wrapped in a blanket our gift from above

Years pass as seconds on a clock

Moments in time I being dragged non-stop

Watching you grow I anticipate your future

My heart splits at the seams, no suture

Pouring over you every protection

As you enter adult life starting a new session

Our first and you deserved more

Learning, loving and moving forward

My beautiful Son, a much anticipated birth

You raised my vibrational frequency really gave me worth

Through you I'd fix all the flaws

Your life ushered in my reasons, my cause

Baseball and knife throwing, rides across the lake

Fin, noggin DUDE! all love even the mistakes

You are so loved young man

I'm so excited to see your plan

Be proud, stand tall don't forget when you crawled

Help others use your heart let down your walls

No matter what keep this close

Your heart is your beat asset, don't burn it like the toast!

The latest edition to my crew

A little bit of Hope in a world that's cruel

Last one to talk, last to let go of babyhood

Always you had my heart, is it clearly understood

Anything for you heck we even moved

Next to your best friend allowing y'all to grove

School work maybe not your best part

But you know how to love and give away your heart!

Today I see the beautiful art you create

Knowing you will bring love and light to this state.

Stick to loving kindness, it's the best way

To live in this beautiful aquarius age

All three of my children are my best goods

universe's gift to me fatherhood!

The universe's gift to me fatherhood!
