Fate's Gown
An Inspirational Poem
Prologue
For Poppy's Prompt #10 and Mikeydred's Octoberon Prompt. Do join in the fun!
We are the masters of our fates and the captains of our souls....or so we think.
Fate dons a silken gown, and can be quite unkind⦠she draws you to her clutches. But we can escape them.

She
Sews thin
Hollow threads
Within the dark,
Binding lives in silk.
Unseen hands, tug at strings,
Lead the fated, unaware,
Through darkened doors where choices lie.
Each breath guided, each step to her grip.
She turns her back, with a cruel smile, Fate waits.

I love the building tension of this! So well done
Very emotive, well done π
So powerful. Love the emotion it creates.
A poem with symbolism and unparalleled emotional intensity. It requires a manual to analyze it, but I focus on the delicacy needed in the decision-making we undertake, because fate can laugh harshly at us in the end.
Two excellent poems in here, I must get on these
That last line was so powerful! Great job
Whoaaaa, that was so profound! Well done!
Love it!
