This is for Mikeydred’s September Autumn Challenge. Do join in the autumn fun here!

September is a time of transition when life-changing decisions seem to consume us. So it is that we think of dreams and aspirations.

I do not experience autumn here in south-east Asian Singapore, but I get an idea of what the season brings. As you read this poem, imagine the red leaves of autumn adrift, each with a dream of yours ready to bring to life.

With every season, turn, turn, turn. The best of autumn to all.

πŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸ

A red leaf on which

Two hearts linked

Another blows past

With a trophy win

πŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸ

A third leaf falls with chocolate cake

Dessert that mom used to bake

A fourth leaf, on which future sublime

That you and all do find so fine

πŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸ

A fifth with a home,

It flies so high

Sixth, wrap a child you cannot deny

πŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ‚πŸ

Red leaves of dreams that float around

Within our reach, wait to be found.
