Falling Leaves

Ode to Woman

By Michelle WattsPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Deep in red hues, thoughts are scattered freely

Inspired by the falling leaves of yellow, rust and green,

Floating on the southern winds, seamless and unbroken

She finally finds her peace and settles amongst the stars

Ever bright and shining in our universe

The torment of the past littered, through the streets

Shadows following that single promise made of the flesh

Trust honesty gone, wasting away rotting fruit

Behold, the strength within to rise from the ashes

Unique, strong, reborn.

Intentions set for the wider brown plains

The seed has been planted preparing for rebirth,

Fertile soil watered longingly

Creation, expansion growth

She bloomed ever so brightly

The dust settled on sunsets eve.
