Falling Forward in the Dark

Embracing the Struggles and Lessons in the Journey of Failure

By Masood ZahidPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

I stumbled first, then lost my way,

Each step a bruise, each breath a sway.

The darkness wrapped its cold embrace,

A never-ending, shadowed race.

The world around seemed far and wide,

Yet here I stood, with dreams denied.

I reached for stars that slipped like sand,

And wondered if I'd ever stand.

But in the fall, I found my strength,

In every failure, I went the length.

For forward still, my heart did race,

No end in sight, yet no retreat, no trace.

In the dark, where silence screams,

I learned the weight of shattered dreams.

Each misstep carved a deeper line,

But in that dark, I learned to shine.

Falling forward, though it stung,

A different song from my lungs was sung.

For every bruise and tear I shed,

I found new paths that weren’t yet tread.

And so I rise—still bruised, still scarred,

A soul that's learned to walk through dark.

Not lost, but found in every fall,

Falling forward, still standing tall.
