"When the World Says No"
A poem about rising when everything tries to hold you down.

When the world says no, and doors won’t budge,
When silence answers all you judge,
When every step feels steep and slow—
That’s when you rise, that’s when you grow.
When laughter echoes down the halls,
And no one sees you when you fall,
When dreams seem foolish, far, or low—
You hold them tighter. Let them show.
The world may shrug, may mock your aim,
May call your passion just a game.
But stars don’t shine to earn applause—
They burn because that’s what they are.
They’ll say, “You’re not the one to lead,”
“You’re not the voice that we should heed,”
But roots run deep where light won’t go—
And bloom in places no one knows.
Let every “no” be fuel and spark,
A fire lit inside the dark.
You weren’t built to break or bend—
You’re shaped to rise. You will transcend.
So walk the path they all ignore,
Kick open every shut-down door.
And when they doubt, let your heart glow—
That’s how you win when the world says no.
